This was my ‘47 Dodge 1.5 ton. Rebuilt motor and brakes. I put a 7’x9’ flatbed on it and drove it from Jersey to Florida. Had it 9 years before it was stolen in Pinellas county. Miss it and still check to see if it is for sale on the web, but alas, just a fond memory now. Worked that truck every day, with joy. Love to find it or another. A couple trucks that belonged to a Friend and HAMB member Moparon426. Several of us helped Ron with these builds that eventually helped move his Family to the West Coast in the early 90's. The Humpback extended cab was a design I started for a pickup project then sold to Ron for his vision of a larger 1 ton hauler. The Ford COE build used a box truck drivetrain and frame that was lengthened for the custom made bed.

My old 1964 Dodge D300. Was a poly 318/NP420 we swapped in a 400/727 and kept the 4:88 gears.

It hauled everything, from dragsters, harleys, hemi motors and even some stop light action.

Great old truck. Did a rebody in 1992. Wish I still had it.

Hauled a lot of grain in one of these trucks. All the hauling power you could ever ask for. But, had to be the stiffest front end ever. Would beat you to death, especially when empty.

Looks downright angry and mean. Like the look!

    Thank you @High test 63

Always loved Flatbeds, and especially A’s, but wanted something more driver-friendly on a daily basis than an AA.

What “BNGR” lacks in weight capacity, is more than made up for with volume over a pickup...many more Smiles/Mile!

    Thanks:)
I always liked the wide bed.
And they looks more "scandinavian" as most of them were sold with out the "step side"beds.
Even fenders and cowls only were popular with Scandinavian beds and bodys.
There were a car body builder in almost every city in Sweden so they came in a lot of different styles.
Take care and have a nice evening

    Please bear with the language........

  23. I just found this thread and figured I'd throw in a photo of my truck, but @A Boner beat me to it.

Its made many trips to the yardwaste recycle center. Funniest reaction was when I told the kid there that I needed him to dump a yard of mulch in the back. I think he was pretty scared that he might screw up and hit the truck with the tractor bucket.
