The black and white 57 in the first photo is my older Brother Bob's 57. He's owned it since 1968 and did a full restoration a few years ago. Here's some photos from around 1970.

Took me a couple of years, trial and error and a lot of help from my friends. Even my parents were highly supportive in this adventure. Thanks to everyone. It's been a wonderful ride all these years.

You gotta love phosphoric acid! [IMG][IMG]
I’m hoping to get it a little more shiny. We shall see.

Yes and no. I spent a bunch of money this past winter in my suspension parts and I took a bunch of stuff apart in preparation for media blasting. However; our Central Valley California weather has been a little wet to be blasting. Not to mention I’ve been wiring my garage. Is that enough excuses yet? Lol. I’ll post some pictures as soon as I have some progress. Thanks for the motivation!

I was back roads cruising and saw this back in 2012, east of Guthrie, OK about 3 miles from Sid’s dropped axle. Last fall I tried to find it and forgot its exact location. Past spring popped up on inter webs . I bought it then assembled it to make it a roller to load it. 4 door hardtops are cool

back in the 80's my buddy tells me about this custom 57 Chevy he saw in someone's yard. "some kind of custom from the 50's" he said. so we drive out to look and it was a 57 4 door hardtop. guess he had never seen one before.... and he actually had a 56 2-door at one time.

Ahhh Piss yellow and puke green! I actually like that color combo. It was discontinued early 57. Neat car!

How is the rust? It turns out mine has a rear quarter made of bondo so I’m not sure how to tackle that plus I got distracted with other stuff.

They are definitely unique in the 4 door world! I haven’t given up on mine but just got a few other projects going. However I think my biggest enemy is paint and body! I wish that was my skill!!

The floors just have small amounts of rust on the flat spots. The trunk isn’t too bad either even the spare tire fender well is fine. I was going to buy this car for parts but when I went back to put the rear end in and started looking at things I realized it was a lot more solid than I thought. It does have some C pillar rust but it is very light and above the trim. Sure from from rodent urine. I used not to be a fan of this color combo but it is really grown on me. I also have a nine passenger 56 wagon in this color combo of course it’s a project too.[IMG][IMG]

Nothing a sand blaster can’t fix. . It looks like you have all the 4dr hard top only trim which is nice!

I found the fender trim off to the sides of the car. The goats were scratching their backsides along it luckily the other trim stayed on. Adjustments.JPG

Good deal! That’s funny. I have a 2dr hard top that is polished smooth on one side because the cows used to like to scratch their ass on the tail fin. Lol
