With the year of the car there are no bolt in or weld in motor mounts out there. You are on your own, build what you need for motor mounts.

  4. Get to the '52-'59 Ford sub forum, lots of engine swap info and I'm sure you will find the right mounts in the FAQ section.

You should find a set of fender liners and put them back in. The few mounting bolts currently holding the front clip in place are going to take a lot of stress. Besides, you can get the air ducts back.

  9. Trandapt probably has mounts. They build pretty goods mounts and most if the time they are bolt in or that has been my experience with them.

I ordered mounts for my '54 from Butch's Cool Stuff. Haven't installed them yet. This post has info about swapping in a sbf. Can't speak whether or not the info in the post about using stock parts.

I hope you didn't order the Butch's mount kit for the 302/AOD when you can use over the counter parts for about a third of the price and the fit is better. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/med ... nts.41498/ Part numbers are here in the link. It also allows you to use these headers https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/med ... 400.45641/

  11. My 53 has a bolt in engine mount kit. It looks like it uses the flathead front mounts, and it has two plates that run up to bolt holes on the front of the heads on my 302. 20200304_173945.jpg

And give those zip tie tails a trim. That should shave enough weight to get you a tenth in the quarter

These links pertain to 1954 and later swaps the O.P. has a '53 so he should use the Butch's 15" Kit.

Those are the ones sold by Speedwaymotors, downside is you can't run the Ford mechanical fuel pump as it won't clear so you have to go electric. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/1962-1994-Small-Block-Ford-289-302-Engine-Mount,6724.html I see they have now gold anodized them and jacked the price up by $20

Transdapt mounts work well. They should have them for your application.

The Butch's 15" kit is what you would want,I have helped a lot of guys through that swap over the years.
