:) Roger that, Robert! When I was in Jr. High, an older guy I knew had a 1950 Plymouth with a souped up flathead 6. It had more cam than the one in the video, shaved head, split exhaust and dual carbs. Ran dual exhaust (straights, no mufflers). And it would run like nobody's business!

Tom Langdon has dual exhaust manifolds for the flathead 6 MOPARs. He is not limited to the Chevy inline 6's......

Edgy has cams, heads and other speed equipment for them......

I think it would be cool with a slant 6 and Torqueflite.

    Wow... straight and solid!
And look how nice it cleaned up.
I have to admit... in a car like that... the hot six would be cool cool cool. Time machine extraordinaire!
Lots of drivetrains to pick from, though. It'll be cool.
Center link steering on that? I'm sure you know already, but a rear sump oil pan helps. Especially with a 440 in a 1953 Chrysler. As I'm finding out now. LOL.
    Congratulations!
    Looking forward to it!

Little up date on the Plymouth.. I now have installed the new rear end, engine and trans, drive shaft, exhaust system, partial wiring and many brackets and frame modifications.. Hope to have it on the road by early summer.. It's slow going for a 72 year old but I am having fun.. Here are some engine pics but I know some die hard Mopar guys will be upset, however I'm not building it for them.. More up dates as they develop... **clic pics** 100_4313.JPG 100_4314.JPG 100_4317.JPG

I use a Ford Ranger because it was a narrower.. The original rear thread width was 2 inches wider than the front thread width....

Nice! After seeing @Chris clean up paint the last few years I knew that thing was some elbow grease away from shine. Looks good!

It's finally on the road after a couple of setbacks.. I registered it today with a number year plate, got insurance and now I can work on rubbing it out and making it sort of presentable... As much as you cam make a 1953 Plymouth presentable....

  16. Looks good, the engine looks right at home. HRP
