The center cross member is now being put in the chassis after being laser designed and laser cut. There a several more laser cut parts being made currently and will continue to be added. Stay tuned for ongoing details on the chassis. Several holes have been welded up on the inside of the frame rails. The brake and fuel lines will run through the frame rails and be hidden to have a cleaner look.

I like what you are doing with the crossmember and the diagonals.could you not have more material in the diagonal braces for more strength.

There is still more bracing to be done. We are not boxing the cross members as the frame rails to have it have a more traditional look. There will be plenty of bracing and strength when completed.

Looking good! Cant wait to see the finished product! Just stumbled across your tread, here is my Rockne build completed in 2016. Old School style with Studebaker R3 motor and other speed shop goodies from the past. This is one of 4 Rockne's I'm building. The other 3 are Roadsters, One with a flathead, One with a R5 dual supercharged Studebaker motor and the third a ?? not sure yet.

Wow! Love them, especially the R-5. I added this to my AMT Avanti build. IMG_2537.jpeg
