Does anyone know what this is used for? Wooden handel the only marking I seen is stamped RIMAC Made In The USA
I doubt you'll find it in the '63 manual. It's obviously older than that, with the wood handle. Check the '53 manual.
its for pushing ink pens further down into the defroster slot on the dash until you cant see them. outa sight-outa mind
Rimac made an assortment of automotive tools and that may be a handle for one or may be a special purpose tool to do one specific task. There is a 1974 catalog on Ebay but I think that probably predates that catalog by a number of years.
Hi. as it is a flat bar instead of square stock and if that bend is factory done it could be used somewhat as a body spoon used to push down in the area between outer quarter panel and inner wheel well to push out dents. Same for deck lids. Definitely looks like some kind of LEVER. Although most I have seen or made were wider and usually made from a spring leaf. That's my best guess. Jimmie
The handle is an ordinary handle used for files and what ever else that can be fit into it. Don't know what the shaft is used for.

My dad's tool box, in our wrecking yard, was a joke, even though he was the business owner, his roll away and his top box were pure junk, with pure junk tools that he had bought at swap meets, since he really didn't have to work on customers cars, he would from time to time have to twist a wrench to get a part off of a wrecked car in the yard. No one ever asked to borrow anything from his tool box for a good reason ! More often than not, when he would put tools back in a drawer that was already a mish mash of stuff that didn't fit, he made a tool very similar to the one pictured here, he would use it to stir the tools around with the drawer closed, to get the offending socket or what ever to lay flat so that he could get the drawer back open. It worked. It was a great source of laughter and entertainment for the rest of the employees to watch the " Magic (OKIE ENGINEERED) , drawer unclogging tool " at work. My Grandfather is the one in checkered pants and my dad is standing next to him with the discolored spot on his sleeve.
