Technical Straight axle shocks for better ride?

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by spillaneswillys, Jun 28, 2020.

  1. I have been driving my 34 Dodge with a Super Bell for about 4 years now. The roads in Pa are being neglected and in particular the transition from the bridges to the roads is usually one hell of a bump or dip.
Is there any way to soften the blow with a different shock? Thanks 34dodge.jpeg 34fr.jpeg

I just swapped my new Pete and Jakes shocks out for a set of Bilsteins. Totally changed the ride for the better. Smoother, quieter and nicer to drive. Just check your mounting lengths against the ones listed in Speedway. Worked great!

  3. I got Bilstein to replace P and J on my solid axle rod. Huge improvement.

Bilstein, worth the money, I have them on my 96 Impala SS and my Silverado.

Bilstein's on all four corners on my roadster. A great ride. I was so impressed that I also hung them on the back of my truck.
