    Nice work!
Looks like your close to putting some miles on it.

  4. I hope so, I was working on some of the damage n the front fenders yesterday. Ultimately it probably needs new fenders because these are pretty trashed. But it will wear them for now (forever? lol)

Looking real good, it looks like your real close to putting some miles on it, what's left?

  11. Had some paint matched nearly 2 yers ago, finally got some sprayed. The front valance needed replaced. Aside from it’s too nice looking, the color looks good. I did get the park light assemblies rebuilt and the whole unit bolted on. Fenders just have a couple bolts holding them on, they need fit a little better

  12. bolt the front fenders on, running boards and bed. I have a new wood kit for the bed but I’ll probably just throw the sheet of plywood back in it for now. Mount bumpers, and a few other things. It’s getting close

  13. That’s a good color for those trucks.....

  14. Took it for a maiden voyage yesterday. The fenders are only half bolted on, and the only thing holding the bed on is the running boards...but I just needed to drive it around the block. It did well. It won’t idle down without dying, so that needs addressed too (ran and drove fine before “tear down”). Overall happy with how it’s coming

  16. You make me think there's hope for my Long Term 53 F-100 project. I just moved it back into my Work Space after a little resting period.

  17. Last night I pulled the bed off and greased/checked everything. Routed the wiring better and Did a quick buff on the back of the cab. I got The bed back on and bolted down. Getting close

    Looks really good Chris.
Some might say "when ya gonna paint it"? I think that would be a travesty, it's perfect.
It sure looks like someone had an expensive chrome bill.

  22. Well, I wrapped it up last night. Still needs a few minor things and eventually the bed wood installed. Not sure if I will do that or sell it and let someone else do it. It did turn out pretty much what I envisioned. Thanks for hanging in there!

Those things are so simple and clean...

  27. Well, I nearly sold it. I mentioned in my Instagram I may sell it and had a lot of people lined up. I even bought a replacement (1956 big back window)...and came to my senses that this truck is perfect in my eyes. Color, stance, chrome, etc. So why would I sell it and start over? So it's staying for now. I have been driving it. Man it drives nice.

I did end up pulling the engine out. The rear main started leaking and gettin the old seal out of the block wasn’t working so I pulled it, my dad came over and helped me pull the crank, slammed back together and no more leak.

  28. If you sold it then yes, you would have to start over again. Great that you were able to sort out the oil leak.

  30. Been a minute. Still enjoying the 56. I keep driving it and aside from the headlight circuit breaker which keeps kicking the headlights off, it does fine. Moved out of town a bit, taking advantage of these summer sun sets
