Thanks. I wish it was still sitting in my garage.
We had alot of fun building and driving it back in the day.

It changed hands a couple of times after I sold it. Unfortunately one of them decided the street rod look was preferable so the 4" dropped 32 axle was replaced with an independent. The wire wheels which were modified early Hudson wires (alot of work in those) were replaced with billet rims and the car was repainted bright yellow.
I saw it once (and that was enough) about 10 or so years ago but haven't seen it since.

I remember both your cars well from our time in Franklin Street Rodders.
    Both cool.
That Model A was so proper. I’m gonna leave this comment here though - “build it again”

I also recall the flames that were on it at one stage too.
    Best regards,
    Greg

Haha. I don't know if I have another build in me. Enjoying the Chev coupe these days.
I will see if I can find a pic when it had the flames on it. They were done in a hurry for it's maiden voyage to the Hamilton SR Nats. The car was pulled apart again after that run and finished properly.

Greg Stokes has just sent me a couple of better pics from back in the day. The flamed version was put together in a rush to get to the SR Nats. (Primered cars weren't allowed). The black version was the SR Nats a year later after totally pulling the car apart for paint and upholstery. Fun times. Model A Hamilton Nats.jpg Model A Helensville Nats.jpg
