Beautiful day here Saturday so decided to go for a ride and attend the first annual PPE regional right in nearby Marlborough CT. As you might expect the crowd was underwhelming however On the positive side you could park anywhere you wanted. All in all, it was well worth the ride on this rare sunny spring day.

Best wishes to all of you out there & stay safe.

  2. Got the T out yesterday for the first time since fall. I definitely plan to use it for essential trips like; the liquor store and the auto parts store... 20200425_145728.jpg

  3. We drove to Rock Hall, MD Saturday and picked up steamed crabs and shrimp!

  5. Spousal distancing yesterday......put 740 miles on my dd. interesting observations...........things almost seemed normal out on the highways, traffic, etc. I passed a tow truck loading a car, and the car's driver appeared to be inside the tow truck cab. That's probably up to individual tow truck drivers, but something I've worried about on my occasional road trip.getting my car towed ok, but me stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. I filled up in Gainesville @1.14 gal! Almost as many Texas cars on i35 in OK as OK cars.
At a rest area in Tx., I asked someone with Washington plates on their car if they had any problems with law enforcement on their drive. None whatsoever, and no problems with rest areas or bathrooms in larger gas stations.

  6. Still at work here. So yesterday seemed to be a fun drive to work day. I chose a black Coupe with red wheels too...

Another beautiful Saturday here in CT after rain just about every other day this week. Quick shot as I made a quick pit stop on my way to the nearby 2020 Social Distance roundup in Portland Ct.

Finally a beautiful day in Ohio.
Spent seven hrs cruising all the state lakes in our area and stopped for a picnic
This was the maiden cruise for both vehicles. They perform flawlessly.
What a fun day with the family.

So yesterday afternoon there was a semi organized county cruise. It was a fun raiser for a group sewing face masks. We met at a closed nightclub just outside of town, and a group of around 40 rides went on the cruise. We went past every fire department in the county with waves of appreciation for what they are doing. Many of the stations had their equipment out and sounded horn and sirens as we passed through. We had 2 stops along the route, one was a chance to but popcorn at our temporarily closed movie theater that opened for the chance to serve us popcorn, and the 2nd stop nearly an hour later at a gas station for anything we may have needed. We did the full cruise, that ended about 4 hours after the start with 107 miles on the odometer in my coupe. It was a fun cruise, but of course, I didn't take any pictures.

Today, my son and his family joined my wife and me in a back road cruise over to Iowa. That cruise also took about 4 hours, but covered a little over 140 miles. It was a wonderful weekend to put almost 250 miles on the coupe. Some day I will remember to take the camera along. Gene

I’ve been out every weekend in our 56 Victoria or on my 39 Indian. I’ve never felt like was ever in a quarantine OC in SoCal is pretty big at 3M + folks and my city has 50K + so no one in authority seems to care. A restaurant near us opened today following all the guidelines. We got takeout from there tonight...

Yesterday was my friend’s son’s birthday, but no parties allowed. The kid is crazy about cars so they asked all their friends to do a parade lap past the house. We met around the corner, We had about ten cars and made two passes. The kid loves it and we got a ton of thumbs up from the neighbors.

Took the Shoebox out today, stopped at CVS and then hit Ferry Landing [forget name, used to be Shad Row] for couple hot dogs. Cruised over to D'nuts on the turnpike across from McD's then home. Was only a target twice. Maybe someday I'll learn [remember] to take pics since I have a phone that will.o_O

My Brother and kids joined me for a cruise up and down Lincoln way in the Massillon/Canton area on Father’s Day weekend. Just like the old days!
Stopped for a drive in treat.

Stopped along the way at the Carter Hill filling station to ponder the “no gas today” sign and remember back to the ‘70s when gas went from 25 cents a gallon to over 70 cents nearly overnight and at times we were darned grateful to get it. Wow; how times have changed.
Hope you guys got out there and enjoyed a good ride!
