Here's a few shots from the show, kind of lightly attended compared to past years, but considering there's no LARS this year I guess that isn't too surprising; still there were some quality hot rods there. Note: I have more to post than this, I'm still going through them, just getting things started here, and will come back with more pics later. Anyone who was there who has photos you're welcome to post them up here if you'd like, instead of starting a separate thread. Let's start things off with @Bad Bob 's new hot rod, this very cool 34 coupe. This guy is local, I see this hot rod all the time, great sedan delivery w/ Olds Rocket power. The owner of this pickup is a fellow HAMBer, but I didn't get his name. More to come, stay tuned....
Inside shots: Feast your eyes on these... And stop drooling.... I talked to the guy that did the welding on this frame, all TIG welded.
That's my 30 pickup and @39ChevyBob 's coupe: Bob's coupe is gorgeous, really well done. The paint and the interior are spectacular. The low angle of the sun was causing some weird artifacts on these shots of my truck. And this is @Irish Mike 's 46 woody wagon.
Always attended this show after So Cal's our Govt would not let us fly over this year caught up with Bobby out here recently, nice guy
Great batch of cars there. Thanks for sharing. And reminding me that my Walden's T shirt that may be one of the first ones he sold when he started is getting a bit tired and may be headed to the welding shirt pile pretty soon.
OK, here's another batch of photos. Let's start with this 32 highboy roadster. I love this car, and it's a runner. About 2 years ago we both were at a poker run, not together, I don't know the guy, we were just both there. We were stuck behind some fat fender guys on a 2 lane road with no passing lanes, and they were in slow cruise mode. And there was a long line of rods and customs behind them, everybody behaving themselves and following along. Eventually we hit a spot where the road opened up. and both that guy and me took off and passed the others. I could tell he wanted to stretch the legs, he changed lanes behind me as if he wanted to pass, uh-uh, that aint gonna happen, we both nailed it and we flew along back to the final stop. We had time to drink a cold one before the rest got back. Nice car! This sweet blue roadster belongs to @32Dan, a recently completed build, he did a great job.
That first Roadster is Johnny Eyeball's. The Black one is Cyclone Kevin's, That last one belongs to Harrison, Piero and Lucky's friend. He painted Lucky's Racecar. Great pic's Blue...
