I just received an email from Goodguys saying everything is go for 4th of July weekend in Des Moines. Iowa canceled it’s state fair this year and the Goodguys show is at the same fairgrounds. I don’t know how they got the ok, I just hope everything goes ok that weekend
I read somewhere (can’t remember where) that GG’s is limiting the number of cars. I’ll see if I can find it back.
The State Fair brings in over a million people in 10 days and has probably 50 plus food vendors. It uses many, many buildings. This show will bring what, 2500 cars and maybe 30,000 people and have a dozen food vendors over 3 days? There is a lot more to try to keep clean for the Fair than this car show will need to deal with.
I just cancelled my reservations for Columbus, Louisville and the rescheduled Nashville GG. Right after that, my son called and told me he is sick and the Teladoc told him to go to the hospital, which I agreed with. I was with him last week. Im just hoping he doesn't have Covid 19. This stuff is bad to the bone and is not abating.
Yes that’s the same email that I received. It’s good that Des Moines is on, and not good about Columbus. Like I said this is just not a good year, and I hope that next year returns to normal.
The GG's 2020 event scheduled was revised again this morning ... and of course, is subject to change again ... but here's the latest:
The GG's 2020 event scheduled was revised again last Monday (due to the cancellation of the two events in Washington State) ... and of course, is subject to change again ... but here's the latest:
At the current rate, it will not be back to normal this time next year. It's going to be at least 18 months
I picked a good year to build a car, not missing any shows with it not being done yet. Maybe next year
