"Back in the day", it was common practice for mounting a later banjo "spring over" in a Model A frame. Which required cutting the spring perches off a set of stock Model A axle tubes and a considerable amount of grinding and machine work. While this application works great with a traditional 39-46 Ford backing plates (if you can find a donor axle), they do not work with aftermarket Lincoln backing plates due to the location of the wheel cylinder. We have the solution, our Spring Over Perches are bolt in/weld on universal fit for both early Ford and Lincoln hydraulic brakes. They can also be used in a weld on application for later model rears (Ford 9"/ 55 Chevy). Designed with lightening holes to allow for easy pass through of your brake lines on both sides. They are Made in the USA and come primed with Grade 8 hardware included. These work for both open & closed drive applications
