Hi all. I've inherited a 1933 project car, however I have no idea what this non-stock steering column is that is in the vehicle. Hoping someone can help me identify it. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1I6OetXqnvqGHaGHyLX_PEq2rn3CBSEAM?usp=sharing Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks. Martin
Sure looks GM, more than likely from the 70's of a Chevy persuasion. Do a Google search on 1977 Camaro and see if it matches.
1969-76ish GM, hard to tell from the pictures because you don't really show the TS and shifter knobs very well, and they're the main clue on these things. pics loaded here so folks don't have to go off to google to see them
AMC also used those columns. They purchased them from GM, but most were unique to AMC or Jeep models.
pretty sure it's a Chevy knob, from what I can see of it. 1969-72 most likely. Caddys had fancy chrome looking knobs
Looks like one I used once that was from a Buick intermediate, I think. Mine had the key in column but no lane change feature in the turn signal switch so I decided it was a '69. Gary
All those columns in GM cars from 1969 to 1976 are very similar. They just vary as far as length and shifter location. All the small parts interchange. Sent from my SM-T350 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
GM. You can get closer on the date, if it matters to you, by checking the size and shape of the wiring harness connector . Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
