Thanks Moriarity I never knew what that meant and I have enough trouble with the computer. There is another picture on the Dover site in the "gallery" under "lost 65 collection" Enjoy.

Pat, I believe you are correct that the white 59 with the XP700 nose ran out of Moroso's shop. The car was driven by Richard Dietrich and was named the Speed Associate Special II. As you are probably aware Moroso originally called his business Speed Associates.

We went to Crossville Tennessee Saturday evening. I was driving the Corvette and Ethan was driving his truck. We got there a little early. There is an hour time difference. We went to a little Italian restaurant had dinner then cruised a little. We actually left a little early because Ethan was driving the mountain road. We saw a mid 50s Suburban that was cool. There was also a GTO Judge and a Olds from about the same year that was pretty cool.

I could be wrong but the above fat fendered car seems a little off topic ? Doesn't look like a '37 Plymouth or a Corvette.

Okay, so I made a mistake. Those pics were supposed to go into another thread,
obviously. I deleted the post and you can come out of your houses now. All is
    clear and safe. Geezus.

  17. That pretty much sums it up. The red one is close to being a Top Flight original car.
The silver car has all the upgrades the factory should have included in '63. The silver car begs to be spanked on when you drive it.

As much as I love the look, and after a lot of thought and debate... I just couldn’t bring myself to cut mine back when I did the paint (in 1985). 433DC498-75BA-4223-B253-A2EA33161BA0.jpeg

El on May 25 1969 I was at Ft. Polk in LA getting ready for a 3 day pass. A couple of buddies and I went to Lake Charles LA for what they called "Contraband Days" celebrating some French pirate ( La Fitte) if I remember correctly. Did some water skiing and drank beer.

Nemesis is an interesting car and I like the look. It appears to have a 1961-62 back half. Possibly '61 considering the doors. With a '56-7 front clip. I wonder what they started with.

I've always liked the 61-62 tail the best, mated to the 56-57 nose makes it perfect IMO.

I see now it has a '56-7 dash. I don't think it is uncommon for drag racers to built a Corvette out of pieces. Not everyone has deep pocket budgets.

That is what your fellow H.A.M.B. is for. Just invite your friends over, leave for the afternoon, come home and bam....6 tail lights!
