My grandson picked up a car this weekend that was on hamb for sale. I believe I remember seeing a car or two done this way by installing a T sedan body on a A frame and fenders. Does anyone here have or have seen one done like this from the seventies till now? Looking for pictures. Thanks. Exterminator IMG_0488.jpg

First thing I thought of when I saw the picture was John Buttera also then I saw 37 caddy response.

I love the look of that car. I am kind of partial to T's. (See avatar). When I was building mine I had a shot at some 31 A fenders. I asked on here about mixing the 2 and mostly got negative responses, but seeing the results almost makes me wish I had pursued the A fenders. But I have a couple questions.
Where is the 4" gained in wheelbase? I don't see anything stretched on the T body? Mine is on the model A 104" wheelbase and the body is stretched 4" ( hood 4" longer) in the engine bay area by extending the splash aprons and running boards.
    What year are those fenders?

    And fenders.

    As Gary said, 28/29.
In my opinion the best looking fenders of all the early cars!

I didn't notice the "28-29 cowl. That's where that 4" is at. I love it. Great car. I hope he enjoys it as much as I do my T.

I believe this is the car Johnny Sitez built. He was as good friend of Jakes & was either a member of ,or hung around with , the " Early Times " car club .
Johnny passed away several years ago .
I think I have a picture of it at the Early Times picnic , around 1971 .
    I'll do some checking

  15. 27 Tin on A chassis. Aprons and Running boards stretched (note change in black shine). Just need to get the Rad down a little and build a hood or not.

Saw this car in the classifieds and thought it was a killer deal. If I had more room in the garage , you would have been late to the party. Congratulations. You got a sweet car for a good price.

The cowl on a 28-29 pickup uses T doors, I bet that they mounted the rear of a T sedan on the remains of an early Model A pickup. Looks good, Model A frame was a common upgrade for a T in the 50-60's.

There was a T Touring build on here by an English gent, nice solid car on a '29 frame & fenders. Extensive build.
I'd have scooped this sedan up... Bunny Quick!
Great proportions, fenders and hood grace the 'T' nicely. Rake doesn't hurt, either!
And, Wally: You look good in there!

That makes for one great looking car.

There used to be a 27 roadster with A fenders that showed up at events in the PNW about 30 years ago that I really liked the looks of.

Very kool! Only thing I would change is different offset rear wheels or narrow the rear end a bit.

Saw a 28-29 pickup cab done the reverse way, had a 26-27 T cowl added. Nice looking car, 5 Spokes look nice on it. Bob

Wescott's did a 26-7 T roadster with 28-9 fenders many years ago and probably still do. I have done three 27 steel roadster pickups on Model A chassis but they have all been fenderless. I too like that T sedan body with 28-9 fenders etc.!
