6250F542-C9DD-4C65-B889-1B3F872548D1.jpeg Not sure if the battery terminal covers are Cal Custom?
Anyone know the date ranges of the various styles of Cal Custom packaging through the years to I.D. the date ranges of our stuff?

    • Blue/Yellow box-California Custom, then Cal Custom. 50's to early 60's?
    • Plain box-with stick on (shipping style) label.
    • 'Cal Customize' blister packaging. Looks to have been produced in Blue, Green, Orange, Magenta, Gold (any others?)... Mid-late 60's?
    • 'Cal Custom' rainbow stripe blister packs. 1970's...

Well here is my vintage Cal Custom Regulator Cover, but not very exciting after seeing Corn Fed's cover with the cool fins. I guess I got the economy cover. :D

These Cal Custom valve covers and air cleaner were installed on this 283, in about 1968. The one piece valve cover bolts were installed at the same time. They have never been on any other engine.

The first photo was taken in about 1984. The second is from 1999. The third is from the 2015 Meltdown Drags. My 55 still has the same engine and driveline as when I first built it in 1977.

one pc wing bolts? never knew there was such a thing. I don't think I could keep myself from using different thickness shim washers with em to get them to line up... Love your 55

    Thank you.

I think that the wing bolts were made by Eelco. They are pretty tough to find. Fortunately, I've been able to find a few other sets of them. I also have a set of one piece wing bolts on my 55 Cameo project. However, it has Corvette valve covers, instead of Cal Customs.
