  2. I hope you kept a spot for that super cool horn! Updates look good. Maybe by the time I can come to lunch you'll be driving it.

Super quick update. The deck lid showed up from Steve's Auto Restoration. Had to do a minor amount of modification to the lower panel. The Howells panels always seem to be about a 1/4 tall. No biggie.

Now on to the bodywork. Gonna be a while for the next update.

    -Abone.

PS. I saved that horn for you, Jason because I remembered how much you liked it....

My hatred for body work is well known, but it is finally over. It is only filler primer, but at least the little car is one solid color again. Hasn't been like that since the 60's. Pretty sure I got all the little nick-knaks that needed primer, including my shirt all in one shot.

    33prime2.jpg

Next week is blocking primer then some color after that.

  11. I got my decklid from Steve's also but wanted the rounded louvers. Damn, Jeff. Our cars are gonna look very similar from the back with 40 chevy tailights, quick change, louvers and a chopped top. I haven't had time to do shit with mine except replace the 53 Chryselr wires with old American Torque thrusts. 34rodders Journal photo.jpg

I like both the flat and dome louvers, my roadster has flat and my tub has domed.

'40 Chevvie. I spotted them on Rocky's car at the Drags and thought they were cool. You don't see TOO many of them on a '33, '34 Ford.

Damn, I love threads like this, showing all the stuff I can't do! I am inspired by that dash though and think I may do something similar. I've been thinking about what to do other than the usual, and something like that right there would fit the bill.

Looks great, I can appreciate the long prep is necessary 2 make a black car look so good. Which brand of paint did you use ? Thanks for sharing your build. Frank
