I have been patiently waiting the completion and arrival of the new Desoto Hemi intake that Hot Heads have been working on for the past several years. I have been on their waiting list and was notified last week that the first run of 30 intakes were completed and ready for sale. I immediately purchased one and it arrived yesterday. What a beautiful job the team at Hot Heads has done. The quality of the castings and machine work is top shelf. The manifold comes with a top mounting plate, built in thermostat housing, water neck, pressure relief valve, gaskets, o ring for top plate and a complete set of stainless steel fasteners. I can’t wait to start the long awaited build of my 1956 Desoto 341. Thanks Duane
That intake will also accept a bevy of other adapters Hot Heads provides, 2X4, 3X2 aside from the blower. What would Desoto fans do without them?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't understand why they didn't cast the manifold for the low deck first. Then supply a couple of spacer plates to cover the high decks. All the Desoto's Hemi's would be covered. 276 Desoto owner.
What size blower are you going with. I'd like to close the hood on my sweptline, and am hoping to adapt a Weiand 144 to that intake. Any insight is helpful
I've been looking at the same intake from HH... intake is $650 and the carb adapter is $290. At least that's what i was quoted.
I just bought one of these manifolds and it came yesterday. Beautiful piece. Anyone out there know where I can find a 3x2 top plate for Strombergs? HH doesn't have them. Has to be a 6 bolt plate. Thanks
