Your dad subframed a 48 Plymouth Business Coupe for me back about 1981. I lived about four blocks from you just south of the little league ball park.

I clearly remember the roadster pickup and the touring was blue at one point as I remember.

 

My 26 RPU, 250 kilometres of fun so far

Saw this at the Nats 10 or so years back, and I still think it's just right

Is that almost saying that these Hondas with giant fart pipes are "traditional" Look at the size of that tailpipe!

 

I have always liked your modified a lot, A Boner. I feel like I don’t get to see enough of it!

 

Looks like they took off the end of the muffuler, probably decelerated and turned ignition off for a bit and back on...THAT would definitely be traditional!

 

I have a good friend with great photography skills..... should see if I can get him do a photo shoot one of these days!

I filled the topper with blue paint and polished it and then mounted it to the bottom edge of the bed near my tail light on the driver’s side.

After you gave me the topper I ordered 2 the next time they were available and I ended up sending Danny HRP one in the mail when he lost his.
So now I have a spare.

Here's mine on Sunday afternoon , sitting along the road with a blown up saginaw 4 speed. Was horseing around and then a huge ka-BLANG clank clank clank! We got a ride back to the house then put a strap on it and pulled it home. Just about have it out now.

 

By the way ignore the LED tail lights, I’ve switched to good quality glass lenses and Sylvania Silverstar 1157 bulbs.

 

Man! That little modified just makes me crazy! V- windshield, quickie hanging out, striping on the wheels,... I caught a glimpse of it years ago in a good guys ad maybe? Then i noticed your avatar a few months ago and thought it may be the same car? Thanks for posting it A Boner.

 

It’s on a Goodguys Gazette cover....back in 2006! (My 15 minutes of fame). That’s my buddy Wes riding shotgun. If it wasn’t for him, it would Probably just be a dream, and not a Fun ride!
