Hot Rods Digging thru old boxes found a Mallory dual point distributor ,

Never ran a dual point don't know where it came from .Anybody interested?

That cap and rotor are near impossible to find.

 

it's one of the later ones, they're relatively common.

I don't know about the value....I have one like it that someone gave me.....

And yeah, it looks kind of rough.

Put it on ebay for no reserve starting at $20 and you might find out what it's worth.

 

Ran one for 16 years, new points each Springtime.

 

A Mallory YL is a desirable distributer. You can get points, condenser, rotor, and cap still from Echlin if I am not mistaken. granted the cap and rotor will be tan and not red but well sometimes its about driving it and not looking at it isn't it.
