While you are looking at rears consider the bolt pattern you are running on your front wheels. 51 Chevy has 4-3/4" bc. Olds/Pont. is 5". Ford is 4-1/2". I'm too old to be dealing with two different bc's so I would opt for a 55-57 Chev. Or the Camaro/Nova rear.

I’m not quite sure I was going to go and take a look at it this weekend or I was supposed to anyway but I’ll try to find out more

8.5” 10 bolt or 9” Ford will be plenty capable and parts galore..

Chevy Nova 68-79 10 bolts are 60.25” wide but came with three different 10 bolts..
    68-72 had 8.2” 10 bolt
    73-79 had 8.5” 10 bolt
    76-79 had 7.5” 10 bolt - AVOID 7.5

BOP 10 bolt for the other X body platforms have some differences Apollo, Omega, Ventura you might want to make sure you want verify.

If you need it narrowed or axles redrilled most competent 4x4 shops are equipped to do that .
I use hudlow axle in Chattanooga,Tn. Shipping might be too much for you so look locally if you need anything.
Speedway sells a reasonable disc brake kit with a parking brake.

It is completely unmolested, the gentleman I bought it from pulled it out of his truck was going to use it in another vehicle he had but ended up not doing the project. It seems like I got a pretty good deal.

I found a guy here in town who apparently has done quite a few of these and everybody seems to rave about him, so I guess I’m going to give him a try as well.
