Here’s a pic of mine at Back to the 50’s last year. My older daughter (14) wanted to go for a drive today. She’s really looking forward to driving it herself someday. It’s a 5 speed manual and she’s looking forward to the experience.

The 56 ford will someday be as iconic as the Deuce, if it’s not already.

  12. Forgot about this old thread until it came up again today... Here is an updated pic of my beater from when I drove it to work a couple weeks ago.

I love looking at this thread from time to time. Still trying to finish off topic LBC and then a descision... '32 5W or '56 Meteor Rideau Victoria. Maybe do a little on each at the same time?

  16. Jimmy - that was summer 2005 in Edina, MN. There was a national convention being held and we just happened to be passing through.

  22. I bought this in '63 with less than 20K miles on it....still had the dealer clear plastic seat covers and original tires. My daily driver for over 10 years......put over 200K miles on it....quiet valve train as almost new, great oil pressure........changed oil/filter every 1500 miles. 312 motor, 3 speed (on the floor), changed the teapot for a Rochester 4GC. Always fired right up even in -20F New England winters. Engine never apart. No power steering or brakes. Rebuilt the suspension with new rear springs at about 100K miles. New clutch at 30K miles....lasted until I sold it. Flat towed my '60 'Vette from Atlanta to Metro D.C. When the body rotted away, sold the engine to a guy who put it in a fishing boat.

I almost forgot how great they looked with radius wheel wells and a jacked up stance. The sixties were a great time if you were into cars.
