Early 1960s, I drove (sequencially) a 1953 Olds Super 88 convertible - nosed, decked, louvered hood, and a 1953 Olds 98 convertible. Both with California rakes - in Massachusetts. Ra
Rakes were the result of sagging front coil springs. Thanks to Tony's explanation, nice to know I was way cool - even though I didn't know it at the time. What goes around, comes around. Would be nice if I still had them.
Neither one of these are mine but......I sure wish they were! Now boyz..........THIS is a rake!! Sweeeeet! 6sally6
Love a good rake on a car. The wheel/tire choice and stance of a car make or break a build. Most of the cars in the family have a little rake to them.
