    Early 1960s, I drove (sequencially) a 1953 Olds Super 88 convertible - nosed, decked, louvered hood, and a 1953 Olds 98 convertible. Both with California rakes - in Massachusetts. Ra

    Rakes were the result of sagging front coil springs. Thanks to Tony's explanation, nice to know I was way cool - even though I didn't know it at the time. What goes around, comes around. Would be nice if I still had them.

  17. Love a good rake on a car. The wheel/tire choice and stance of a car make or break a build. Most of the cars in the family have a little rake to them.

    Rim screws, first I've seen not related to drag slicks. Nice touch.

    Wish I had some pics of the Connecticut rake during the late 50's/early/late 60's. :eek::rolleyes:o_O
