I like the longer water pumps because they flow better, at least thats what I thought!

  2. I personally don't buy into that theory. The impeller cavity appears to be the same on both. I think pully dia, = pump speed would have more to do with flow dynamics.

yup, they started using a smaller top pulley when they switched to the long pump.

Spoke with Spal today and ordered high cfm dual fans($350). I also lowered the radiator and moved it way in closer and now I just barely have enough space without the grille touching the radiator, mission accomplished.

    thanks guys.

  7. Better put side mirrors on it if your going to street drive it. You are going to street drive it, right?

    Yes indeed!

Man, I wonder what the best mirror is for this.

  9. [IMG]Top door hinge mount. They come both left and right side. May need a little fussing with to fit your specific hinge. This one is listed for 40 Ford.

I actually bought the chrome straight axle out of it... When in the 80's it was converted to ifs

  12. Have you ever actually tried to drive in traffic with Peep Mirrors?

It's far from traditional, but I would install a back up camera with a wide lens.

Yea, the Peep mirrors leave a lot to be desired. A pain to adjust, then won't stay adjusted. I thought the problem was because the mirrors I had were old, but it turns out, new ones are not any better.

I also have a rear view camera, its nice when you are backing up, but sure doesn't work for driving and changing lanes. If you buy a rear view camera, don't get a cheap one, you will be disappointed. Gene

Well!!...........You fixed it before I could 'tell-you-what-to-do'! A lot of the Ford classic (M-word) cars like to use the dual fan set up out of a Taurus. Bullet proof.....thin...junk yard are full of 'em.
