Good point there, you need to get some good photos of the tank to have those in the know Id it. It may be a generic tank sitting on Eelco brackets.
A search shows that most of the Eelco tanks no matter what the size have the ends tapered down to a smaller round flat end. like this one.

Seven or so years ago I picked one up, complete with brackets, at the Suffolk Drag Reunion Show. I asked the fellow how much he was asking and he said $20. I handed him the $20 and after we walked away, my wife asked me why I didn't offer him less. I just smiled and she understood when I turned down $150 that I was offered for it that same day. Some times you don't argue the price of something.

Well Scrap price On tank would be less then $0.10. Some of the earlier ones go for $500 up but that depends on the condition

The end of the tank in the OP's pic doesn't look like a normal Eelco tank. There were some very early Eelco tanks that were more "home made" looking, but we'll need a good pic to rule that out. And I bet the very early tanks didn't have the usual brackets with them.

My Early Eeclo tank & early Moon hand pump.
I believe the change from Flip cap to Screw on was a Rule change by NHRA

  17. Well if the tank is a bust I'd be interested in the brackets, my early Eelco has wrong brackets and I'd like to have correct ones.

So, I have long wondered what is the correct pronunciation of Eelco? Is it ēl - ˈkō ?

Kind of like I never knew the correct pronunciation of Weiand until I saw one of the old "say Why And" ads. I still have to catch myself.
