Nice picture with the boy in the "before" picture. Is he digging the transformation? Looks like he is. Looks like he's already claimed it for his own. LOL. Might it be his, eventually? Sent from my VS835 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Oh, look... you found an old abandoned pre-war Custom, and you're just cleaning it up a little. Sent from my VS835 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Thanks for all kind words! Here you have one more picture, this is from december. Me and my husband Simon build custom/hotrods on our spare time. We bought the car in july 2018.
To me, no one gets customs better than the Swedes. You don't see the rat rod clown cars there. Well done folks.
Here's my old 40 Merc in Candy Brandywine. It's not a correct color for a forties custom but shows what a Merc would look like in dark maroon. Your coupe looks amazing! Mick
The splash pan to the rear bumper is perfect , that usually looks like an after thought , this is well planed out
How about a nice eggplant color ? A dark purple like some of the early customs from southern California.
Well, I guess you know what colour you won't be painting it, so as to avoid making it a clone of Kent Vikmo's 40 Merc? A very dark metallic green might look good? Edit: I see I've been beaten to it by the choice of green
Do you have any pictures of the frame work. How did you get the rear so low? Did you flatten the crossmember?..
I never cared much for the 40 Mercs as much as the 40 Fords, because of the 'stodgy' upright roof. But, WOW! When you chop the top and make it flow, it takes on a whole new look. Looks great!
Hi! Its time for an update! After my husband has been sanding the car for like 3 months, he finally could paint the car! (Our daughter is helping us with the final sanding) /Sanna
Looks like a perfect color for your Merc! Congratulations on reaching this important phase of your project. It's going to be a beauty!
