Back in 1992 I shipped my Anglia from the UK to Charleston. I then spent 4 months driving it across the US going from hot rod show to hot rod show. travelled 15,000 miles. I won a few long distance awards! At the end of my trip I sold the car to guy in Bloomington IL. It has been through a few owners since, and I lost track of it. So, does anyone know saltpop.PNG saltpop2.PNG where it is at the moment?

  2. I haven't seen it in at least 10 years. It was here in Missouri and I knew who had it. He was on here but I haven't seen him in awhile. I'll do some checking.

Now that car was well done.
Traditional flavor in the 90’s street rod rage.
    Great looking fenderless sedan. .

Yeah, it was a bit different from all the pastel coloured '37 cabriolets with tweed interiors and Chinese billet wheels of the time.

Car came in on the east coast. NSRA Knoxville was the first event I went to. Last Event was Bonneville. From there I should have gone to California, but I got sidetracked by a woman in Michigan! We have been married 27 years! That whole trip changed my life.

Trailer Ed had it for a while. Not sure when he got rid of it though. Maybe he'll chime in.

Just been exchanging PMs with trailer-Ed who owned the car for a while. He sold it to someone in the Spokane area. Can any of you Pacific NW guys help?

  11. I remember seeing that Anglia in Knoxville,Tennessee, the reason it stood out to me was my pal Rene' was building one at the time and the color was similar, I thought it made a great looking hiboy.

I only saw it at that show, hopefully you can find it again. HRP

  12. 696.jpg If it is the same one as in Trailer Ed's Avatar it now has fenders and appears to be a different color.

Not that it helps find the car, but I just wanted to say I remember following the exploits in Rodder's Digest magazine.

There were a lot of "exploits" that only a select number of people know! It was certainly the adventure of a lifetime.
