Kalispell is a hell of a long way from most of Montana and 120 miles north of Missoula when you get to Missoula. Even if a guy lives in Montana he might be 400 miles from there.

I rode thru Kalispell on my HD one time. Even the jack rabbits had sleeping bags on there back.

bobwop is a hamber who deals in good old cars. He's in Wisconsin, I believe. You might be doing yourself a favor looking on his website. Unless you're a huge fan of pink 56 DeSotos.

  7. lol I bet. My girl really likes It and that it was in some cheesy hot rod movie from 2009 called ‘Rat Rod Rockers’.
Good news is RMR&C may get to check it out for me sometime today!

  9. RMR&C was able to check it out for us! Thanks again for your time and speaking with me on the phone. After discussing things with Deanna, we decided to pass on it. We will keep looking!

Good to see that you were able to get him to check on it. From border to Border on I 90 in Montana it is 554.4 miles with no stop lights.

  11. Holy Smokes! Yeah somehow he was within 20 miles of the place.
    The HAMB is awesome!

That is pure luck. You get in Montana and Wyoming and seeing a "next gas 110 miles) sign isn't unusual.

really none of my business, just curious what you found wrong with the car. The body seemed good in photos, the price seemed right ... Desoto not that popular and lower priced then others.
It did have the Desoto Hemi engine. Looking at the photos I thought $10k might be a good deal. I am just curious what issues were found with the car and not shown in the photos ... Hidden rust?

  18. If that's the Country Classic place in Ill., you better really check the car out. Maybe do a search here first. Just sayin', "let the buyer beware".........

  19. Thanks. Apparently that car has been there for quite a while so there probably is something going on with it

  22. What he said!!! I once drove 20 hours with a trailer to purchase and bring back a '64 Ranchero from these guys. Over the phone it was promised to be a rust free southern vehicle that would be worth my trip. The "artist" that sculpted the vehicle from bondo simply stopped when it looked about like a Ranchero...he could just as easily carved it into a Corvette, or a deuce coupe. Needless to say we had an empty trailer for the 20 hour ride home...with steam coming from my ears!

When purchasing if you can't see, touch, and feel it and have to rely on somebody's word on condition walk away. Don't have ask how i know this:eek:

  24. Yes, a fist sized rust hole in the rear 1/4, with bondo popping loose in another spot. Rusted out rear bumper(ends). Couple cracked windows. Paint is checked really bad. tires are junk. etc.
But yep it has a hemi!

I sure appreciate people like you to help people like me. Could have turned out to be a disaster for someone.
I hope you do not hold questioning against me.
    Thank You.

  26. Thanks again! Much appreciated! They just emailed me and said they took it off the market because it suddenly has a bad motor? Thought that was strange after I said I may have someone physically look at it for me.
