they were on the driver side on all the mopars I worked on.

But I refer to the left side as the driver side.

as mentioned by another poster, they will probably be one of 3 sizes. Search the Dorman catalog by size, not by fitment. aftermarket hardware listings are almost always incomplete.
edit: correction. I searched the dorman site by your application 38 chevy Master and there the are: LH and RH 7/16x20

The Chevy 6 lugs were all 7/16" for a long long time, 1920s-80s.

Small Dodges in the 1960s used 7/16" LH nuts on the driver side. Dart, Valiant, etc.

  6. My 1950 3100 has RH studs all the way around and I know it hasn’t been changed.

I just looked up on rock auto, for my wife's 70 Dart, and they show Dorman 611015 for left side, 7/16" LH thread.

Maybe they don't sell them up there?

Dang, I am stunned to a News (coutesy of the DA show).

I had to go back out and prove myself wrong, RH on pass, LH on drivers on a '32 Plymouth set up I have.

    Now I'm feeling my age...

    @Truckdoctor Andy

Can you tell me with side of the Petes and trailers used LH nuts?

I may be going down in flames here....

  14. Thanks squirrel I will try that.
I would have to order them in. 2 boxes 10 in a box. As I need 12.... I have to see if I can find a dodge to see if they fit? Don't want to spend $50 and find out they don't fit.

I would measure the stud diameter and thread pitch, and then I'd know if they'll fit.

Is there a parts place near you that has been open since the 70's? They usually have bins of lug nuts in the back. You can buy just one and see that it fits. Then go back in for 11 more. No shipping!

I worked in a parts house like that in the early 90'S and the only "bulk lug nuts" were mag wheel lug nuts.

I looked up my old 69 Baracuda fast back on the O'Reilly site and they show the Dorman singles https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/.../611015/4181434/1969/plymouth/barracuda?pos=4

That may be what you have to ask for Keith.

  22. Yup, my '28 Dodge has L and R nuts :D

Try your local tractor supply stores. Around here they have bins full of lug nuts of different styles, sizes and pitch.

We aren't in Canada though and that may have been a requirement then just as it was on Semi trucks here for years on end and may still be for all I know.
Now I am going to check that 28/30 something Chevy rear axle I have that I can't get one wheel off to see If I was trying to turn it the wrong way.
Back in the early 70's when I worked in a Firestone tire store I had to replace several left side lug bolts on a Mopar that a new tire buster had broken off using a cheater pipe on a breaker bar. when the impact wrench wouldn't turn them. It didn't take him long to decide that he wasn't a tire man. Worse part was that he had dug the breaker bar out of my tool box to use it.

  26. Call your local ACE hardware Last time i checked they had left hand lug nuts.

  27. I worked on a '41 Chevy, all RH lugs.

I had a '64 Olds as kid, my buddy had a '63 at the time. I was helping him take off a LH tire... man those lugs were tight! He took it down to the corner gas station, the guy had them loosened in seconds... it was a learning experience.

  28. If you have a dorman number, it might cross in Napa’s system. Perhaps it won’t be as expensive. I often look up on dorman site and then cross the number at Napa.
