I was going to make a crack about the tail lights but I didn't want
experts crawling out of the woodwork.

The price of C1s is starting to make the price of a C2 look pretty darn good! $36000 Adjustments.JPG

How refreshing to see a Corvette so simple. A cruiser for a weekend
afternoon (or early morning alone drive). And not black with a straight
    axle.

Although the cars carried the Camoradi USA logo the team never raced the Corvettes in the US except for the Sebring 12 Hour event in 1960 and this is obviously not that race. In 1960 the team also entered the Corvettes (there were three cars at Le Mans) at Le Mans, Cuba (Havana Grand Prix), the Swedish Grand Prix and at Goodwood in the TT. The car did not make it to the start at Goodwood due to a road accident, therefore the photo is from the Swedish event which means that it is team founder Lloyd Casner at the wheel. The team car that raced as#4 is currently restored (along with at least one of the team's Maserati Tipo 61's). Casner (aka Lucky) was killed in a Maserati while testing at Le Mans in 1965.

Quick85, Roger Penske driving Jim Hall's Grand Sport at 1964 Nassau. John Mecom also had his GS (and as usual a bunch of other cars). That year Penske drove for Jim Hall in a Chaparral II and Grand Sport and put in time in Mecom's GS as well.
*May be worth mentioning if you look closely at the photo you can see the rear deck mounted oil cooler is missing. In typical Jim Hall fashion it is removed for aerodynamic reasons. Didn't work out as the following photo shows. Don't know who did the plumbing. Photo is from Sebring 1964.
*Also worth noting is the number "5" on the rear plexi. Came from Chevrolet R&D with that number. IIRC that signifies the car as being the fifth and last of the original five Grand Sport Corvettes. George Wintersteen and Dick Thompson got #1 and #2, Delmo Johnson got #3, Ed Sevadjian got #4 and Jim Hall got #5. The last 3 (maybe all 5) came through John Mecom from Zora Duntov at Chevrolet.

Standing in front of John Mecom's GS l/r: John Mecom Jr., Augie Pabst, Roger Penske, Dr. Dick Thompson and Jim Hall. Notice oil cooler is missing from Mecom's GS as well.
