New to the forum I’m working on a 1940 ford pickup and I’m trying to figure out a nice clean tailgate latch and do away with the chains. What are other people running? I’ve seen the stealth latches on eBay but not installed on a truck. Any pictures or links to different kits would be great!

I have 2 small stainless steal slide bolts . 51NnkK4XciL__AC_SX355_.jpg 1 on each side on the inside of the tailgate near the top. with a rubber grommet in the hole and there is no tail gate rattle.you don't use the female piece. you drill a hole and put in a rubber grommet. the picture shows in a group of 4 but you only use 2 61306132_2346122182334173_1233858629996642304_n.jpg 60625946_2346122229000835_9160582329406586880_n.jpg

The diameter looks like it would fit right in the tube on top of the tailgate
