Hey, we are not from New Zealand--Richie Crampton (aka OZ) and I are both from Adelaide in South Australia. If I was from NZ I would be "Kiwi" not Roo. ;)

  4. We made it to larry dixons shop for the promotional video shoot. This was for the summit midwest drags deal. It was perfect weather. About 20 or so cars showed up. After a pizza lunch burnouts were made by most of the cars. Dixon had his two seat nitro dragster on display. Richie crapton brought out the shit box of doom 6 sec 57 chevy wagon. After the burnouts driver interviews were done. Overall a good day of promo fun. I got a pic with the guys from down under (Australia) Roo and Richie Crampton both top fuel licensed drivers. 20200522_125007.jpg 20200522_125007.jpg 20200522_123401.jpg 20200522_135955.jpg

  22. Thanks for all the cool pics Calvin. More pics to come as we do some shock testing today at union grove. No full passes will be made. The track just opened and the track is green. That's a good way to get in trouble with a fast car. Today it's all about the 60 foot and 330 time slip.

Looks like you had a great day Brian.
Love the shot of the '55 cooking up a storm with the trailer behind!

  26. If anyone needs some good coil over shocks I just listed the ones I took off the car in the classifieds. There is a full description there. 20200530_172457.jpg

  29. 20200609_184401.jpg 20200606_090505.jpg 20200606_182030.jpg Everything is good. I have been street driving the car alot lately. I was on my way to a car show 45 minutes away last week when I had a trans issue. The 2nd gear spag cover and pressure plate roller assemble failed. I called David at lenco and this is what's going on. They see these kinds of failures on cars using 200 lb regulators. The bruno needs 200lb and the lenco CS-1 can only handle 150lbs no more. The extra pressure over time breaks the plates holding roller bearings. They were surprised I had been running it like that for so long. My single bottle and regulator were supplying both. So I either needed to add another bottle and regulator or use a very cool dual regulator. I chose the latter. The piece coming out of the bottle goes to two seperate regulators. They can be shimmed to any pressure. They come from mick Schneider motorsports. Problem solved. My friend in town races a alchohol funny car. He had a spare that he sold me. I'm waiting on a shim kit that should arrive monday. I have replaced the broken parts so the car is ready to go. The next race will be at union grove later this month were we plan on running it all out.

  30. In my spare time I'm putting the chevelles 327 back together. I broke a piston last month. I figured if I have to take it apart it's going back together with more power. The heads got decked .020 and were ported big time. The compression got bumped to 10-1. With the aluminum heads it should be fine on pump gas. 20200504_161413.jpg 20200612_191725.jpg They also got a four angle valve job and a little more spring pressure. The bbc oil pump was replaced with a sbc to free up some power. The heat cross over was covered up. New pistons; rings and bearings were part of it as well. It ran very strong before. I can't wait to see what it will do now.
