  2. I love it! But that doesn't amount to squat.

I have a '52 and would like to do a similar treatment on the rear wheel openings.
Did you fab these or are they from a donor? If they are from a donor they appear to fit very well.

They are from a donor. They are the front fenders from a 1978 Mercury Monarch/Ford Granada facing backwards.
    They are grafted in.

I like it ! But that's a pretty ballsy question. The haters will be arriving soon.

My love of the '52-'54 Fords precludes loud cheering. But as @Oldron440 and others stated, "Nice execution".
An acquaintance had a beautiful turquoise/white '56 Vicky, and did a similar trick to its quarters.
He asked me if I still wanted to buy it. My response went like, "Grrrrrrr...."

I hope he tells the haters to go fornicate themselves.

  22. Great job! Looks like it came that way. I would like to see a taller tire . Maybe need to see a picture of the whole car. Again beautiful workmanship. What are the plans?

Yea, but where are you going to find skirts to fit it now?;):p

  24. Takes me back to the early 70's when it was popular to flare the wheel wells, and tuck in some wider tires and deep wheels. The aluminum slots fit in with that era also.
    Nice job, I like it.

Very subtle, now you need to also do the fronts to match

Looks really good! Kind of has a '70s street machine look about it with the slots. Or maybe like an Australian variant of an American body.

Looks great! There's nothing more traditional than applying ingenuity to re-purpose parts from other cars to make improvements.
