Just a fun quickie from Mart's garage. I started the pickup up to check the radiator for leaks. I noticed something I did not expect. It was running, but I'm surprised it even started! It's impressive to see such a shower of sparks just at idle. Imagine it at high revs! Ok just a quickie. A proper video will be out tomorrow. Mart.
@moriarty has like a thousand sets of plug wires in his kitchen cabinets, you might run by there and nick a set while he is at the diner getting take out.
none for a flathead though, sorry... https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...al-please-help-me-i-am-such-an-idiot.1166485/
I'm not sure why, but I find the overstock of plug wire story almost as funny as the hippo boat rescue story.
Reminds me of when I was in college, I was having trouble with my OT car, would not start. My younger brother and a friend came to help. After fixing what we thought was the problem, they wanted to check to see if I had spark. The friend pulled the coil wire from the distributor and held it about a half inch away from the cap, then told me to crank it. I hit the key and not only did it crank and have good spark, but the car started up! I hear it running and the other guy yelling, "OK,OK! TURN IT OFF!!!"
