    Good luck on your project.

  6. I used a Weedeter 525 box mount on my '47; it replaced the Ford mount. I had a Pete & Jakes adapter plate; but I decided I wanted the little extra room that Weedeter's mount provided.

I seem to remember that a couple of the holes in the original Ford frame mount had to be slotted to fit the adapter plate.

So I figured it out. The holes in the frame plate were smaller than the holes/hardware on the adapter plate. So with a sacrificial drill bit is was able to open the holes enough to get it a tight fit
