Some mangled tin in a local farm ditch. One is a late 30’s chevy business coupe, not sure on the others

The smashed up grille above sure looks like '36 Graham to me.

The graham grilles that I could find look fairly flat in the middle, but the one in the ditch is fluted or corrugated. I know that I have seen one before, but can’t find a pic.

These cars are just a few miles from my house and have set there as long as I can remember. 20200517_092122.jpg 20200517_092144.jpg 20200517_092207.jpg 20200517_092225.jpg 20200517_092233.jpg 20200517_092252.jpg

That poor 53 Buick still has a really good grille and a salvageable bumper. Sad about the rest of it.

It is a shame. There's a handful of side moldings laying in the car that had fallen off, it's a 4 door but they'd still be useful, the steering wheel isn't horrible and it's got an engine and some dash bits left too. I'd like to rescue a whole bunch of parts from this collection but I'd rather not take any more whole parts cars home.

The V-dub people would probably pay for the Wolfcrest emblem on the front of that bug.

I will never understand why people do that with cars. Makes me want to go out and find fine furniture and leave it in the woods, like they do with cars.

Here's one with the fluted center. The pic was marked 1936 Graham but I'm not entirely sure the year is correct. Still, pretty sure that's the grille, even has the flattened out part for the script emblem.

Graham it is. You were right all along. I might need to track down the landowner and see if I can’t help him clean some of the trash off of his land.

You ought to give them a call. I asked about a 62 Cutlass, that was in the parking lot. Fairly complete. $1000

I'd love to have it, but I suspect my wife would have a slightly different view of the subject, since there are already 4 old Dodge pickups here right now.
Also, the truck is a long way away from me, getting it here would probably cost more then the truck would. My car trailer went away 15 years ago. Gene

Cool. 48 Areo Sedan. Not near as common as the 6 window Sport Sedan.

  23. A few from today. I apologize that the ambassador is a bit too new, but I still think it's loveable.

Sorry. Not a Aerosedan — that’s 2-door. This is a Sportmaster Sedan. Still more stylish I think than the standard 4-door sedan. I think some refer to it as a German Helmet, or something like that.

The one on its roof looks to be a 37 or 38 Chevy panel and would be willing to try to save it if it was much closer to home.

Not really rotting — but this 41 Chevy has been sitting in a large tractor shed for several years. A friend took me to see it. I called the man who’s storing it. It belonged to his daughter in law’s dad, and the title is missing...

That Farmall 560 parked next to the 41 Chevy looks a lot like the one my Grandpa had when I was growing up in East Central IL.

20200525_104916.jpg Saw this '41 coupe the other day while driving through the country looking for some OT Ford station wagon parts.
