I did buy this one. It's really rough, roof is crushed in, no floors at all, rotted frame, but lots of good 2 door conversion stuff to give, nothing will go to waste on it. Was mildly customized at one time with 15" wheels and a floor shifter, a different steering wheel and (unfortunately) a different front seat, and a custom paint job.

When I went to pick up the '57 (bought mostly sight unseen), I was told about another car that I was interested in, but my friend who turned me onto the deal said the second car had not come out of the woods very well. That was not an exaggeration! Honestly, I still kinda want it, it's got a handful of small pieces that could be salvaged off, but I'm hoping I can just buy the good pieces and not take the whole thing home. Seller really wants to sell the cars whole and not just pieces. A picture of it is below, anyone want to take a guess at what this car is (was)?

  8. What’s to buff out, there’s almost nothing there.

It is/was a '55 Belair sedan (damn close guess!). There are some good stainless pieces on it yet that can be salvaged along with a handful of brackets and bits but I'd rather not take the whole thing for obvious reasons. I think even trying to load it would destroy what little is left.

Here's a pic of the '55 from "the good side"

Here's a small update on this 41 Pontiac from page 373. I bought the 41 a few weeks after this was posted in Aug. 2016. For the most part, it is still sitting, (inside but not rotting). However I've gotten a few things done.

The body is back permanently on the frame, with new mounts. The steering is now hooked up with a 1950 Pontiac column and wheel, (the 74 Nova front sub-frame, and ALOT of other work, had been done by the previous owner, (58 Yeoman).

I recently got an engine and trans for it. The engine is a 1950 GMC 270, with a "H" head. The trans is a 3 speed O.D. from a 57 Chevy 4 door sedan. Also found a set of fade-away fenders from a 42 Buick. Pontiac Steering Wheel.jpg

John, glad to see that you're getting some time to work on the '41.

Also, Ryans65, good video on the old house and cars. I like exploring old houses/buildings, imagining what it was like in its' time.

Not my video but I wish I could respectfully take a tour around that property. House looks like it was magnificent at one time, wonder how/ when the impalas got dragged out in the yard?

It's interesting to see that and wonder how it became such a derelict...bet it was a grand place at one time.

I got this one a while back out of a junkyard a week before he crushed everything (hundreds of vintage cars).

It's just a parts car though.
