Event Coverage Steel in Motion - now photo's from motoandy,catdad,& seadog

Against all odds, Steel in Motion will go on as planned.

The only bump in the road is the state mandated that the grand stands can not be occupied for the event. All planned activities of the event otherwise will continue.

The gates will be open today, to my knowledge this is the first event that is going on as scheduled. HRP

Phil, the weather looks great it's going to be dry and in the 80's, I would love to go but after having Brenda's business mandated to be closed for the last few months we need to stay home and work. HRP

 

Wish it was on this coast . ​

 

I think a lot of eyes will be on this event, it may set a precedent for other shows in the coming months.

Hopefully, everything will go smoothly and the attendees use common sense with their interactions. HRP

 

Wish I felt that it was safe for me, but at 82&1/2, and with already having diabetes, heart problems, and lung damage from asbestosis, if I caught that bug, it would most likely be the last event I'd ever attend
Have had more hot rod related fun there at Steel in Motion than any other event I've attended.

 

I hear you Dave, us old farts gotta think about the quintessences If we contract the covid-19 virus and already have one or more ongoing health problems it could very well put a end to out fun & games.

But your right, I too have had more fun at Steel in Motion than any other show, When I was ask to described it, I tell them it's like Woodstock for Hot Rodders. HRP

 

You and me too, Dave. I’m on the fence right now. Would love to drive down there tomorrow morning, but will probably stay home for the same reasons as you. Stay well...wash your hands!

I don't have any pictures but there was a huge turnout . I had a great time. Too bad all the activities( bands, pinup contest etc.) are in the evening after I've left.

Yes to the first question. Swap meet seemed smaller but the event was pretty much as the last one. No sitting in the grand stands. Snowman

John, I didn't make it this year so hopefully someone that attended will post some photos.

With event's being cancelled all around the country I'm sure a lot of guys would enjoy see photo's from Steel in Motion. HRP
