1951 AAA and 1958 USAC National Champion, Melvin Eugene "Tony" Bettenhausen of Tinley Park, Illinois. He won the 1958 Championship without winning a single race. Quite an accomplishment. Gorgeous Car and Trophy
I have a customer who lives in Goldfield, NV and his family has owned a gold mine for the past 100 years and while there are not many people living there he loves it! There is no internet or cable connections the last time he called me from another town about 20 or 30 miles away. Jimbo
That's a great picture for me Hemidav, That bridge went over several railroad tracks. My grandmother had an apartment at the top of the covered stairs and two blocks to the right on West St. I went through there countless times as a young kid going to down to Main St. to buy some comic books. I was never fearful to wander around by myself in the city as a child. It was a great place in the 50's. Thanks again for posting the picture.
