All it needs is new air shocks and L60-15s. You coulda parked it a little better. Good score, great body style.
Had one of those thirty years ago. Widest car i ever had. ss with 283 powerglide. Huge inside and out. Great find.
Check the frame in front of the back wheels. I had a 66 and that was where they would rust and may be why it was parked.
Time to get out the scrub brush and soap and water and see what that puppy looks like under the crud layer.
I woulda' hauled it home! I'd refurbish the stock interior, drop in a 496 with a TH400 and a 3.08 posi, leave the paint as-is after a good scrubbing! Devin
Nice ! Like it, Back in the day had a 64 and a 65 Impala SS, both 327 4 speed cars. Now we see the before, hopefully you'll post the after. Have at it.
Used to be one of those that ran street class at a local track. Bright apple green, they always called it the green lizard. Had a small block, 283 or 327, and a power glide. Wouldn’t take off for shit, but had a surprisingly good top end. Fooled a lot of faster cars....
I love it.I've had a few through the years. 65s and 66s. I love the lines on the 65 more. My favorite combo looks like this one off the web, very simplistic, solid black, poverty caps, and lots of motor.
I had a 65 with SWIVEL buckets out of a 70’s GM. It was cool! You know the early ones came with 409’s!
Open the doors, get a couple rolls of quarters and wash that baby up. Looks like a super solid start from the outside
Bought one new in 65--really liked that car. 283 with a 3 speed-ran it in pure stock class (I/S?)at the drags and drove it daily.
I'm starting on it between rain. Floors are gone trunk has a couple holes right quarter is bad. Was a 327 car. Engine is gone but trans is hanging in there lol.
And if you don't, and she sits in it anyway, I'm offering to help brush her off afterward. You know, taking one for the team...just trying to help. Oh yeah, and nice start...always loved them boats.
