Well, I made the deadline to have it at the 20th anniversary of our show, The Groundhog Gala. The weather was terrible but we still had 80 cars and folks seemed to like the Leaping Lizard a lot.

I just asked the question on IG and found the answer myself. This car is really rad. Thanks for posting a build thread on it. Guess I better start on my T Bucket thread.

My wife came up with the name Leaping Lizard, and my Australian cartoonist and musician friend Lluis Sanchez did the design. 8. I love your build, and especially how you made that Edsel grille look like that is the only place it ever belonged.
Out of curiosity, why did you choose to go to the 2 bbl, rather than stick with the SUs. I had a couple of vehicles with them back in the early 60s, and other than some leakage problems, I got reasonable performance using them.
I have loved those little hemies, since I saw my first one in a Daimler sports car in 1962.

Looks great, Nads. The lettering and striping are spot on.

  18. That hemi doesn't seem small in the engine bay at all! How is it for power?

I'm thinking it's only the more experienced fellas who could ever truly utter this phrase.

I'm also thinking maybe don't be too much of a stranger. We need guys who actually build stuff.

    Cool Hemi T-Bucket, Nads!
    Thanks for sharing.

Really nailed it, Nads. It's got a little "swoop" where the bed and body meet, really adds interest to the car. The wheels are perfect, and the fades on the paint are nice. Did you do the paint? The little hemi is the cherry on top. Lots of good choices coming together.
