Honduras Maroon, great color. It was available on chevs, 1960, 1961, 1962. Later I believe available on Ponts, 1974, 75. When I ordered my 1964 Chevelle SS, I wanted Honduras Maroon, I had to order Palomar Red, which was close.
@Paint . Man thats a sweet impala brother. Before i bought my 49 i searched everywhere for a 60-63 in my price range but couldn't find anything that wasn't completely rusted out.

We saw our share of them in 1963. similar to the style and color of my friend's parent's new purchase in 1963 Hello, Today is a great time to acknowledge one of my friend’s mom. She was one of the nicest ladies we have ever met. Not too pushy and always welcoming the teenage boys gathering in her house. She was very quiet and friendly. That was good. When my friend's mom and dad wanted a new car, they liked the two door black 58 Chevy Impala as it was usually parked in their driveway. So, they decided to get a new 1963 Chevy two door Impala hardtop. Their two sons had their own cars and a 4 door was not necessary for them any longer. They told my friend to go out and look for one that would fit their needs, then they would go see it for themselves. Wow, that was like a blank canvas for a couple of hot rod inspired teenage boys. We hit the two local Chevy dealers to see what was on the lot and in the showrooms. I liked the black Impala hardtop. My friend liked the EMBER RED VERSION. We could see ourselves driving in those sedans with the options we selected. 4 speed, SS bucket seat interior and a big 409 with dual quads. Of course, Positraction and A/C for the parents. Ha! Well, we saw one of each at the dealers. We were all set to go back to his house and have his parents go buy the SS/409 right out of the showroom floor. So, his parents left with a purchase in mind. A couple of hours later, they drove up to his house with an Azure Aqua and Ermine White 2 door Impala hardtop. Well, they got the two door right. It had A/C and bucket seats, but was not the 409 4 speed SS. It was nice looking, but had a 327 with a 4 barrel carb and a Powerglide transmission. Jnaki Something was better than nothing. The A/C allowed two teenage boys to cruise all over in absolute comfort during the hot summer months in So Cal. That was worth it. It was not a factory hot rod, but a pure cruising sedan. It even had skinny whitewalls. Our normal cars still saw the standard teenage duty of school, dates, sporting events, dances and cruising/racing. His 55 two door post Chevy sedan and my 58 Impala were good cars with plenty of activities still left in those "old" cars.
Nice find on that brochure! Paint, that is one nice ride. That's how I envisioned mine, but I never got around to putting my Torq Thrusts on it way back when. Still regret sending down the road all of those years ago.
That’s pretty cool! My son is trying to decide whether to paint his 63 Chevy pu the original color or one of the car colors for 63.
