Just a bunch of older stuff this week. Hope all are fairing well. Any word on Robber?
Keeping him, Rockin' Rick Hannah and my father-in-law in thoughts and prayers, hope you all will too!

 

Hey Mark, Robber is very happy to be able to attend his Pop's funeral this week, with the third op pending. He loved his father, who was a WW2 Army South Pacific theater veteran. He is being patched over so he can make it to the funeral. After that, a third medical operation.

I will finish my new art now.

Once again, some more of my old art work.
COLOR stuff is old T-shirt art for our clubs annual car show. Most of it is drawn 4-color so it could be digitized for silk screen or transfer.
BLACK & WHITE stuff for Junkyard News which I co-pulished in the '80s, Also some old car show flyer art.
CARTOONS from Street Rodder Magazine...was a Contributing Artist for them in the '70s. early '80s

Hello,

The Sadd, Teague, Bentley roadster had quite a seasoned history. From the drag strip, then with some modifications, setting Bonneville records. As sad as it is/was, the drag racing exploits were left behind when the team decided to go for the Bonneville records. This is the possible version that we would have all seen back at the local So Cal dragstrips. A few motor changes, gearing changes and the addition of early M&H drag slicks would have pushed this roadster back into the drag racing limelight.

We consistently read about the exploits in the local Hot Rod Magazines and weekly DRAG NEWS papers. But, never got to see it as a full on drag racing modified roadster to compete in the hot classes of the So Cal racers. As a drag racing modified roadster, it just looked fast and very cool. That would have been something to see it compete against all of the other hot modified roadsters that were ripping up the dragstrips every weekend in So Cal.

Custom door panels that I made for my Hobo’s Hot Rod Garage shop truck. There are bead rolled on aluminum. I love how the wrench goes around the door handle it’s all in the details.

Not sure if this is art but I also fabricated some new floor mats for the 56 anyone can throw a piece of rubber on the floor. Yes that is Gene Winfields’s signature on my dash how cool is that!



Interior make over complete now back to customer work. How about a skull shifter cover the mouth opening will be cut out and the shifter will come thru the mouth.

 

Over here in mid America we always dreamed of a scene like this. We had a few kool cars around but it was always the "Calififornia Dreamin"". Love it.
