Nice setup! Truck looks well sorted from the photos.
I am slowly working my way to a 348/700 comb. If you don’t mind please send me your write up. It will come in handy when the time comes. Thank you

Just wanted to add this here for future reference:

The left allows the lucite fit inside and as a result the hoop is a little larger. The one one on right the lucite has little spears to finish each line. Both are equal thickness. The one above on the right is a car version below is the same as on the right used for truck.

Interesting. Mine originally had no metal frame. But the plastic had the little bumps along the top edge like your frame.

I found this indicator light online, and installed it as part of the project. It came with a new frame that resembles the larger one you show, except that it has a solid back . Wonder how many variations there are?

    Very cool piece!

I didn’t find much very little info. I may be looking in the wrong place.

I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say you are not finding much info.
Are you looking for one of those indicator lights?
If so, I found it on ebay. It was listed as "NOS 1953 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air Powerglide Trans Indicator Lamp Passenger 986999". Just did a search and there are a couple of them on ebay.

    Thanks for the info Unclebrad,

I was replying to your comment-
“Wonder how many variations there are?”

There is little info on frames and shift handles in the old manuals and sales materials. I garnered what ever I did from photos in old manuals and interchange books.

Ah. I sure had no idea. Just made what I had managed to get work. Which reminds me... I also picked up some hydromatic shifter pieces while gathering parts, and I didn't end up using them.
If anyone is looking, send me an email. IMG_0024 lo.jpg
