Well if you followed my "which one" thread you know i picked the 49 chevy. It was just now delivered to me and is everything he said it was. It drives smooth. The frame and everything underneath look beautiful. No rust anywhere. The chrome is good. The brakes are good. Clutch is good. Engine purrs. Paint is really good. Interiors great. It has a crack in drivers window and fuel gauge doesn't work. I love it. It will eventually get lowered a little in the back.
I've never seen so many bumper accessories on a Chevy but man that car looks like it's in great shape, congratulations. HRP
Looks like a brand new car with spinners. I think you got yourself a great deal. You probably could not build it yourself for what you paid for it.
That Chevy has beautiful lines no doubt, you chose well. If I didn't have the 47 dodge business coupe I have, that car you chose would be my next choice. I really like the fender skirts as well !
I didn't comment on the which one thread and even though I am a Ford guy and like the Ford coupe, the Chevy just stands heads above the Ford. you did good. HRP
Like HRP, I couldn't make a choice on your previous thread. This Chevy is just gorgeous, good choice! Now just get some speed parts on that six, maybe baby moons and trim rings...
Thanks guys. I really like it. Ive had projects all my life and its nice to finally have a good driver. The kids and the wife really like it too. Thats a huge plus!
Appears to be a 235. 12 volt? That's why gas gauge quit working. What's the oil pressure? 15 or 30? 30 would be inserts. That's good. Great looking ride .
@fastcar1953 It is the 235 but still running 6v. I think it may be a simple fix but haven't tinkered with it yet.
I didn't catch the "which one" thread. What was the other one. That is one awsome looking car!!!! My personal favourite is a '51. I see the dual exhaust, do you have a pic from the manifold side of the engine bay? Enjoy it and make any changes to suit yourself. DoUg
Anybody have leads on a good cover for this car. It will be stored in my shop which is clean but i sometimes have the overhead door open when doing yard work and id hate for my dog or kids to scratch it up. My shop entrance is through the alley and the first 25 feet is carport so i leave door open when grilling or working under carport.
