The first photo looks to be one of Bobby Unser's early attempts at Pikes Peak; it might even be his first run. Looks to be some kind of modified stock V8 engine in the car. And the last photo is (I believe) Floyd Roberts talking with Ed Winfield; obviously about carburetion. And check out all of those clamps on the fuel lines.
Who's stopping you?[/QUOTE] When I fly, I wear a sport shirt, slacks, and leather shoes. Not a wife beater, shorts, and flip flops. Then again we don’t like being in a cattle tube getting someone else’s cold or ; so we drive from Ca to Fl to see our daughter and her family.
I always advised my family when flying in a private airplane, dress like you might have to walk home. If flying commercial dress like you may have to run through sharp burning metal.
Fireball should have stayed out of the Fords that he was killed in. He was one of the best drivers ever.
I sure would like to have a time machine to go back to that hobby shop and buy out every AMT kit and other model car kit in the joint, at 1962 prices.
I dunno...looks like he "mid-engined" that Ford, so it *might* not be as bad as that. Love to know the details.
