Event Coverage St. Petersburg, Florida Rolling Car Show / Cruise. Saturday, May 9th

Meet in the Publix Supermarket at Seville Square parking lot at 3030 54th Ave South, at 8:30 am. We will roll out at 9:00 am.


Please remain in your car if practical, and maintain social distancing guidelines. All Hot Rods and Classic cars are welcome.


I plan to go South over the Skyway Bridge, through Bradenton, turn South by Holmes Beach, and down to Longboat Key. We will stop at the Publix / CVS parking lot at Shoppes of Bay Isles. We will take about a twenty minute break there, then return back by the same route.

As a frequent visitor to Anna Maria Island, and stays in Holmes Beach.. I know that drive well...hope to get down there for a couple weeks this Summer...

Great. I turned the deal over to my clubs's cruise coordinator to see what the member's interests are. She reminded me it was Mother's Day, so... who knows. I'll be there for sure. Later, Gary

 

Oops, I meant to say that this Sunday is Mother's Day, so there may be some folks busy with family affairs this weekend so they may be otherwise occuppied on Saturday, too. I'll know more in a couple of days.

Good idea. Weather has been perfect lately.
Also trying to coordinate my club's annual 3rd Sunday meeting as a cruise towards the east coast, to hook up with a few guys that live in that direction.

 

We had a great cruise this morning, with 4 cars. Plenty of waves and smiles along the way. It was good to meet you Gary. We’ll do it again some time.

Forgot to add, after we came back and I was watching the news I found out it was something like the 40th anniversary of when the old bridge got hit and collapsed! So you can add "memorial" to the drive's tag line.
