Howdy Hambers. Could anyone tell me the length of the engine from rear of block (where trans bell housing bolts to the front of water pump ? I appreciate it .
Don't know if this will be any help to you but, I have a measurement I took off of my '46 226" G motor before I scrapped it. I took it as a reference for the firewall and radiator clearances, in anticipation of engine swap. It's not exactly what you asked for but, it's 33-1/2" from back of the block ( at the head mating surface edge) to the front of the cooling fan.
