  5. I made this "finned aluminum" cover for the main fuse on my '50. I cut a piece off an old aftermarket running board for the material.

    I tried to buy a set of Cal Custom big block Chevy valve covers yesterday. The person was packing up their swap meet space.

    Was gonna clean this up a bit & put it up for sale, but I'm diggin' on it too much to sell it now. Couldn't find one like it on the web, so no idea of worth or original application. Should have taken a "before" pic, as it was painted blue. Still got some more work to do on it. PXL_20240406_221207078.jpg

    I saw one those, maybe different brand, on a 40s K or KB7 IHC truck in junkyard. Should have grabbed it

    @1952henry You should have. Mine was in a pile of flathead parts, but it sure wasn't stock for a Ford. maybe aftermarket only? Will look good on some future build.

    I’m thinking aftermarket. Don’t recall the name, but had read the finned versions were made for cooling? Saw where someone cleaned one out and put a regular coil in it. Looked good
